Updated OECD Guidelines: The Future Standard in ESG Compliance?
From sector-specific disclosure regulation in the EU and human rights due diligence rules at national levels to proprietary ESG labels – sustainability standards are all but harmonized. Keeping up with the various frameworks can be a challenge. Is help coming from the OECD with the recently updated OECD Guidelines? Can this toolkit for self-regulatory practices serve as a potential unifying framework, including for the investment sector?
Learning objectives:
- Learn to untangle the terminology – ESG, RBC, CSR, etc.: who uses what and how?
- Get to know the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct
- Understanding the tools and solutions the Guidelines offer for ESG due diligence
- Assess the relevance of these international practical guidelines for the financial industry
